Quality and inspection
Every VORBAL joint is produced under in-process and final inspection. The aim is a consistent envelope, a known sliding or rolling system, and a part that matches the drawing you specify.
What we check
- Geometry against the series drawing — bore, thread, housing width, and tilt angle.
- Hardness and surface finish on balls, races, and sliding layers.
- On PREMIUM Line rod ends and spherical-plain bearings, radial clearance is measured on every piece.
- Corrosion protection on zinc-plated, stainless, and coated variants.
How we build
Forged housings for PREMIUM and most CLASSIC parts are machined on dedicated turning and hard-turning setups. Heat treatment, galvanising, and coating are controlled with long-term process partners. Assembly of self-aligning roller and ball inserts is done at the bench, not as an afterthought.
Maintenance-free CLASSIC parts use the VORBAL-Glide sliding layer: a polyamide-PTFE-glass compound that traps contamination and runs dry. Relubricatable BASIC and CLASSIC parts leave a grease path and a nipple where the series drawing shows one.
Materials
Standard catalog steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. Stainless and custom variants are available on PREMIUM and CLASSIC; BASIC specials on request. Female-thread rod ends and clevises follow DIN ISO 8139 for pneumatic cylinders.
